WalletExplain.com (“WalletExplain”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by an individual
software developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share
information when you use our website and wallet analysis service (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Wallet addresses — Ethereum wallet addresses you submit for analysis.
- Generated report data — scores, risk flags, token allocation summaries, AI-generated text, and timestamps associated with your analysis.
- IP address — used for abuse prevention, rate limiting, and security monitoring.
- Access logs — browser type, pages visited, request timestamps, referring URLs, and similar technical data collected by our hosting provider.
- Analytics data (optional) — if you consent via our cookie banner, we may collect anonymized usage events to improve the product.
- Email address (future) — if you create an account, subscribe to updates, or contact support, we may store your email address. Email collection is not required to use the free MVP version.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide wallet analysis reports and related features.
- Store reports so you can view and share them via link.
- Enforce free-tier limits (e.g., reports per IP per day).
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- Improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Respond to support and legal requests.
- Comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
3. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, we process personal data on these bases:
- Contract / service delivery — to provide the analysis you request.
- Legitimate interests — security, rate limiting, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
- Consent — optional analytics cookies where required by law.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data under law.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. They process data only as needed to perform their functions:
- OpenAI — generates AI summaries from wallet statistics. Wallet addresses and aggregated stats may be sent to OpenAI’s API.
- Moralis — fetches public blockchain data (balances, transactions) for submitted wallet addresses.
- Supabase — stores report data, analysis jobs, and related metadata in a hosted database.
- Vercel — hosts the website and API, processes access logs and request metadata.
Each provider maintains its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their documentation.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
Reports and associated metadata may be retained for as long as needed to provide the Service,
comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. You may request deletion
of stored report data associated with a wallet address by contacting us (see Section 8).
6. International Transfers
Our processors may store or process data in the United States and other countries.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or
equivalent mechanisms offered by our vendors.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies/session mechanisms required for the Service to function.
Optional analytics cookies are used only with your consent where applicable.
You may withdraw consent via the cookie banner or your browser settings.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability (receive a copy in a structured format).

We may need to verify your request.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
